That this signifies continuance of perception, is evident from the signification of "saying," as being perception (see n. 6063); and from the representation of Pharaoh, as being the natural in general (as above). Continuance of perception by the natural is signified, because the expression "they said unto Pharaoh" was also used just above (n. 6074), and now here again.
