That this signifies that the intellectual or internal Human is nothing but good, is evident from the signification of "red," as being the good of love, and this from fire and from blood, which are red (n. 3300), hence "red with wine" denotes that it is nothing but good; and from the signification of "eyes," as being the intellectual (n. 2701, 3820, 4403-4421, 4523-4534); and because the Lord is here treated of, it is His internal human which is meant by "the intellectual," for the external human is signified by "his teeth are white with milk," as now follows.
