That this signifies a representative of the Lord in respect to the whole work of salvation from the Divine Human, is evident from the signification of "the priest's office," as being a representative of the Lord in respect to the whole work of salvation (see n. 9809). This is said after the sanctification by anointing, because the work of salvation is from the Lord's Divine Human (according to what was shown just above, n. 9956).
