And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates, signifies influx from the Lord into their interior reasonings, whereby they confirm themselves in justification by faith alone. By "the sixth angel pouring out his vial," is here signified, as before, influx. By "the great river Euphrates" interior reasonings are signified, as above (n. 444, 445); here the interior reasonings of that church, whereby they confirm justification by faith alone, these reasonings being treated of in what now follows.
